"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience." Gordon B. Hinckley, 2006

Sweet girl

Isabel may have her 9 year old drama queen moments, but underneath it all she has a heart of pure gold. I was reminded of this on her last day of school.

She's been looking forward all year to the final class drawing, because the teacher told them she'd have Webkinz in the drawing. She's been saving up all of her tickets for it.

Well when school was over I asked her if she'd won a Webkin, and she said no, but she was so sad for a girl in her class that really wanted to win one because she's never had a stuffed animal before. She asked me if she could give her one of her Webkinz. I said sure, and was very surprised when she got her newest one to give to her. She had wanted that one forever. Then she proceeded to wrap it up in a cello bag, stuff it with other random treats, and tie it with a little bow. Then she said there was another kid in the class that was really sad too, and would it be okay if she gave another one away? Again, she picks a brand new one that has never been logged on.

Bless her sweet little heart.

I love this thoughtful little girl.
