"You will have significant experiences. I hope that you will write them down and keep a record of them, that you will read them from time to time and refresh your memory of those meaningful and significant things. Some may be funny. Some may be significant only to you. Some of them may be sacred and quietly beautiful. Some may build one upon another until they represent a lifetime of special experience." Gordon B. Hinckley, 2006

New School Year!

First day of school we took our traditional pictures on the front porch.  I must say that I'm quite pleased with myself this year.  There were not any tears on my part this year, and only a very small amount of sadness.

Of course I'm sad to see them go back to school.  I really enjoy having them home.  But how can I be sad when they are so HAPPY?  They've been so excited about their teachers  and seeing their friends.

Joey woke up at 7:00 and got dressed and ran downstairs, excited as could be.

I think there will be some tears at our house this week. I'm so not ready for the 1st day of school. I miss summer already....
Very cute pictures.

How wonderful! I am 55 years old and one of my favourite photos is of us kids at the front door going to school.
The years flow by and these moments are so precious :-)
